The Digital Debate Continues
Film scholar extraordinaire David Bordwell has been busily blogging about the challenges facing indie cinemas (including the Goetz Theatre of Monroe, Wisconsin; pictured above) and film festivals as they convert to digital formats.
We expect digital projection to be hot topic at this year’s Convergence, and look forward to a lively discussion at our two-part DCP Panel discussion (Wednesday, January 18 from 9 – 10:15 am and 10:45am – 12pm) and our Art House and the Archive: 35mm is Not Dead (Yet)! panel (Wednesday, January 18 from 2:30 – 4pm).
